General Questions

A: Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children 6 weeks to 10 years of age. View information about our curriculum-based programs here.

A: We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We provide full-day care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers. We also provide before-and-after-school care for children who are enrolled in Kindergarten through 10 years of age.

A: Yes! Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool’s part-time/hourly programs are designed to introduce children 12 months (walking) to 6 years to their peers while engaging in fun curriculum-based activities in a structured environment. View all of our available childcare programs here.

A: Yes! We serve hot meals and nutritious snacks. Our Center is equipped with a kitchen and staff trained in nutrition, USDA and Kansas Department of Education guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Weekly menus are posted on the parent board of each classroom.
Safety and Security

A: Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool has implemented stringent security measures to protect against unauthorized access to the classroom cameras. All of our web cam systems use encryption to protect usernames and passwords.

A: Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool’s #1 priority is the safety of children in our care including monthly fire drills, routine tornado procedures and Care Team certification. Find out more about our facility safety features here.

A: Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool has procedures in place in case of a tornado, flood or other severe weather. If weather becomes severe, we will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of children in our care. Parents can also check for closures and other weather updates on our Facebook page.

A: Yes! A member of our Care Team will be supervising your child at all times - even during quiet or nap time. Loving Arms™ also adheres to Infant Safe Sleep guidelines and has implemented other policies for older children to have the safest possible environment while in our care.
Your Child's Comfort

A: Yes, your child can bring his/her favorite blanket to school, however their favorite toy should be left at home to prevent damage or loss of the item. We offer special events where children can share items with their classmates.

A: Yes! During your registration process, we do an interview with you to learn the techniques you use at home to soothe your child. Whenever possible, we use the same techniques that work for your child at home.

A: Yes! All children have their own cubby for their items located in each of the classrooms.

A: We want your child to be healthy while at Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool. To ensure he/she stays healthy, we require that children do not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours - this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.
Registering your Child(ren)

A: The registration process will require the following: Proof of income/source of income, Health and Immunization form, Immunization Record for all children being enrolled, and Authorization for Emergency Medical Care. If your child requires medication, you will also need the Authorization for Dispensing Medication form.

Copy of parent social security card
Copy of parent driver's license
Copy of parent military ID (if applicable)
Immunizations
Student health assessment (this item can also be a physical or wellness check).

A: The registration process usually takes between one to two hours. There are many forms required for the registration of your child(ren). We like to answer as many questions as possible during your enrollment and provide information on our safety procedures and other important items which are applicable at the time of registration.
Health Information

A: We want your child to be healthy while at Loving Arms™ Childcare and Preschool. To ensure he/she stays healthy, we require that children do not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours - this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.

A: Our facility is cleaned everday using a safe disenfactant, including all toys and equipment, classrooms, bathrooms, and offices.

A: We adhere to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) statutes of being inspected yearly. Our Care Team also routinely inspects equipment and supplies for use by children while at our childcare center.
Payments

A: Yes! We are committed to making quality childcare accessible to everyone. You can view the current DCF income guidelines from the link provided on our Childcare Assistance Resource page.

A: Yes! We are a recommended provider through NACCRRA and Child Care Aware which have programs for Military families, you can find out more about the program here.

A: We accept most major credit cards for payments. Continuing tuition payments are processed through Tuition Express electronic payments. You can access a sign-up form on your Parent Resource page. We do not accept checks, money orders, or cash for payments.

A: Tuition rates vary according to the age of your child. We encourage all prospective parents to come in and tour our facilities and further discuss rates. Program fees start at $92 per week.
